Here are some possible reasons why the app might have crashed on your Mac

Your Mac doesn’t have enough free memory available

AI Transcription works completely locally — all calculations are performed directly on your Mac. Offline transcription is a demanding task, especially requiring memory. If the app crashes during or after creating a transcript, it is most often because your Mac doesn’t have enough free memory available. In such cases, closing other memory-hungry apps that might be running in the background can help. For very long audio recordings, it may also be useful to split them into smaller parts.
